He mowed over my new sod...bad job

I wrote in comments not to mow sod under tree in back yard, but contractor did anyway. He mowed a ring around it and I suppose he realized he was mowing the sod and stopped. So now I have this ring around my new sod. I hope it does not die in the summer sun. Not happy at all.
